Larch
Pinus Larix

This comes into the category of a large tree due to its considerable height. It is one of the tallest to be found in any forest. The leaves are a bright green and grow in such a bushy-like way as to have a tufted appearance.

The name Larch derives from the Latin 'Larix' a name given to Pine resin. The tree produces both catkins and cones.

It has had many commercial and medicinal uses.
