This comes in the category of a large tree, slowly growing to an expected height of over 40ft. Allow similar size for spacing/spread. (Bare in mind many large trees can reach over 100ft). It has a life span of several hundred years. Often known as the British or English Oak - throughout history it has been the primary forest tree of England. King Arthur's round table was said to be made from a single slice of an Oak tree.

It creates dark shade and produces acorns. The leaves have a long thin stalk from which the leaves cluster.

It likes full sun. It has normal water requirements. Do not over water and it can tolerate drought.
