Ligustrun Vulgare

This comes into the category of a small tree/shrub growing to an approximate height of 4 to 8 feet. Allow similar spacing/spread. It is sometimes referred to as European Privet. It is often used to form a hedge.

The foliage is a mid green and the plant is semi-evergreen. It produces fragrant small white flowers, each with five petals, which form in elongated clusters. These are followed by dark blue-black berries love by birds. This is a very good plant for wildlife.

This shrub likes full sun to partial shade and very tolerant of most conditions. It dislikes wet soil, however. This is a very good plant for wildlife.
