Sorbus Aucupana

This is classed as a medium tree due to its slender appearance, growing in height up to around 30 feet; however, in rare cases they can reach higher. Allow a minimum of 20ft for spacing/spread. It blooms with white flowers, producing red berries later in the season. The tree has a delicate, slim appearance.

It likes sun to partial shade. This is very attractive, particularly in the autumn.

Throughout British history, this has long been regarded as a magical tree, bearing good luck and keeping ill omens at bay. It may also be known as the Ash Tree though it is not related.
