Sea Buckthorn
Hippophae Rhamnoides

This is classed as small tree/shrub growing in height from 6 to 10 feet. It may also be known as Sallow Thorn as it is a thorny shrub. It has narrow leaves. This is one to grow for the vibrant orange berries it produces.

It is happy in full sun to light shade. Do not let it dry out, otherwise water normally.

Often disregarded in this country yet grown and harvested in places like China, which makes numerous products from it - dyes, cosmetics, remedies and the like. It has a high vitamin and nutrient content. All of the plant can be used and it is planted in areas of the world where soil erosion is a problem.
