Ferns are grown for their foliage. This plant grows in height from 12 to 18 inches. Allow approximately 18 inches for spacing/spread. It is also known as deer fern.

This plant unusually has two distinctive shapes. Wide, short leaves and, at times, thinner tall leaves. It provides a good all year round appearance.

It likes full sun to partial shade. It has normal water requirements but do not over water. However, it is not keen on excessive hot spells or exceptionally dry weather.
