Carex Autiformis

Carex is a well-known Latin definition of plants. This is an ornamental grass. It grows between 6 to 18 inches in height. It is a very strong, 'dominant' plant, grown mainly for its foliage, which is a muted green. These leaves become tinted with red tones as they begin to die, making it attractive. It produces flowers from July to September.

It likes full sun to some partial shade. This plant MUST be kept moist; therefore, it is most suitable for pond edging.
