Carex Sylvatica

Carex is a well-known Latin definition of plants. This is an ornamental grass that grows to approximately 1 foot in height.

It produces flowers 'spikes' in June/July, which then seed into the Autumn. These spikes are droopy in appearance - seeded spears on slender stalks. The foliage is bright green.

In the wild in can be found in damp places, woods and grassland.
