Geranium Sylvaticum
Geranium derives from a Greek word meaning Crane or Beak-like. Sylvaticum roughly means of the forest.
This perennial grows approximately 12 to 18 inches in height. The flowers can be of various colours from white, blue to violet, purple tones and pink, though are usually magenta. It blooms during early to mid summer. The foliage is a mid to blue-green.
It likes sun to partial shade. In the wild it can be found in a variety of habitats from meadows, woodland, hedgerows and the moist to wet situations.
