This biennial grows up to approximately 2ft in height. The leaves are a bright mid green colour and fern-like in appearance. It produces white flowers which are followed by seeds.

It likes a sunny position. Once the plant has finished for the season prune back to encourage re-growth. One established, the plant will self-seed. Dry the seeds on paper and store in airtight jars.

Use the seeds in both sweet and savoury dishes. Good for cakes, pork. It is also good in some vegetable or cheese recipes.
