This plant grows in height to approximately 1 ft. The foliage is delicate with a feathery appearance. It produces small white or lilac flowers. Seeds only appear after a hot summer. It is aromatic.

It likes full sun. It can be grown in the ground or in a pot.

The flavour of the seeds is best when completely dry and can be used to flavour many dishes including curries, soups and bread.
