It may also be known as Chervil. This is a tall plant growing in height up to approximately 5ft. However, it does take several years to obtain this growth. The leaves are 'feathery' and a rich green in colour. It has very attractive foliage. It blooms with white flowers.

It likes partial shade. It is a wonderfully fragrant plant.

Pick leaves as required. They can also be dried. The taste is best described as a light sweet aniseed. The leaves can be used in both salad and fruit dishes and the roots can be cooked like a vegetable.

It has a good medicinal history treating coughs and chest complaints.
